Dr. Stuart
Blumenthal, a
Baltimore native,
received his
undergraduate degree
from Oberlin
College, Oberlin,
Ohio. He has been
practicing Pediatric
Dentistry since
completing his
post-graduate
education in 1982.
Dr. Blumenthal
received his dental
degree in 1980, from
the Baltimore
College of Dental
Surgery, Dental
School, University
of Maryland at
Baltimore (the first
Dental College in
the world). While in
dental school, Dr.
Blumenthal received
The American Society
of Dentistry for
Children Award,
which is the top
prize given in
children’s dentistry
and was a member of
the Gorgas
Prosthodontic Honor
Society.
After completing
dental school, Dr.
Blumenthal entered a
specialty training
program in pediatric
dentistry. Dr.
Blumenthal received
his Certificate in
Pedodontics from
BCDS, UMAB in 1982.
He served as a
Pediatric Dental
Resident at
University Hospital,
University of
Maryland at
Baltimore from
1980-1982, and as a
Fellow in Pediatric
Dentistry, The
Kennedy Institute,
Johns Hopkins School
of Medicine from
1981-1982.
Dr. Blumenthal
received his
certification of
proficiency from the
Academy of Laser
Dentistry in 2001.
He has lectured on
the use of lasers in
pediatric dentistry
to numerous
organizations.
Currently Dr.
Blumenthal has a
faculty appointment
as an Instructor in
Pediatrics, Johns
Hopkins School of
Medicine, and serves
as Dental Consultant
to The Kennedy
Krieger Institute.
Dr. Blumenthal is an
active member of
Sinai Hospital's
Dental Department.
Dr. Blumenthal

Dr. Blumenthal is

disabilities. Dr.
Blumenthal has
served on the
Executive Committee
of the Maryland
Academy of Pediatric
Dentists, the Board
of Directors of The
Child Study
Association of
Maryland, as well as
The Park School
Alumni Board.
Dr. Blumenthal’s
father Dr. Saul
“Buddy” Blumenthal,
was one of the first
pediatric dentists
in the State of
Maryland. Dr. Stuart
Blumenthal is
already seeing his
second generation of
patients and often
third generation,
when including those
patients of his
father’s.
Dr. Blumenthal lives
in Baltimore and
claims his greatest
accomplishments in
life are his
daughters: Shari,
Cara, and Jenna.
Dr. Blumenthal’s
